Meet Our Chapter President, Kaysie Romana

Kaysie Romana is the Vice President of Human Resources for Cornerstone Family Healthcare. She joined Cornerstone in April 2012 after working as the Volunteer & Community Outreach Coordinator for The City of Albany Office of Special Events. Kaysie graduated from the College of Saint Rose, Albany, with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications and is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). As the VP of HR, Kaysie provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization's HR operations. Kaysie is part of the senior management team providing strategic planning, improving employee workflow, and driving employee engagement and morale.  Kaysie currently resides in Washingtonville, NY, with her husband and daughter.

We look forward to working with Kaysie as the Hudson Valley SHRM's new President and finding new opportunities and ways to create thriving relationships by being a growing and successful HR resource for our members, communities, and profession.

Member spotlight: Alison tyack, shrm-cp, hvshrm vp of programs

       

Alison Tyack is the Deputy Commissioner of Human Resources for Orange County Government.  Alison has been with the Department of Human Resources for over 18 years.  In her role as Deputy Commissioner, she is responsible for assisting in the administration of New York State Civil Service Law and Orange County Civil Service Rules for public employees in Orange County.  Additionally, she assists in the administration of a comprehensive county personnel program, including classification and compensation, union negotiations, and recruitment. 

Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from SUNY New Paltz.  She is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and is passionate about combining public service and having the opportunity to impact the lives of employees. 

Alison is a lifelong resident of Orange County, currently residing in New Hampton with her husband and two daughters.
